Warehouse Guidelines

Our team is operating on a minimal workforce. A couple of our team members go to our warehouse to pack and ship your orders, while the rest work remotely in their homes.

We are equipped with systems and equipment to take care of the health of our team and the cleanliness of our workplace. We have thermal scanners to check our teams' temperature every day and cleaning materials to disinfect our equipment and surroundings. Lastly, our team is required to wear masks and face shields when they go to work. 

Social Distancing 

Our riders and courier partners practice social distancing when delivering. 



How do I order online?

    1. Go to dearbooks.ph, browse through our collection of books, and click on the photos of the items you would like to purchase
    2. Click "Add to Cart"
    3. Not yet done? Got your eye on another item? Go back to the home menu, or use the search bar to add more items to your cart
    4. When you are ready to complete your order, click "Checkout"
    5. Fill in fields with your contact and shipping information
    6. Choose your payment option
    7. Click "Complete my purchase"
    8. Wait for an email containing your sales invoice and/or payment instructions. (Please see order processing at the bottom of this page for important timeline details.)

Do I need to set up an account to be able to place an order?

It's not necessary but if you sign up with an account, the next time you order will be absolutely easy and stress-free! You won't need to type in all your shipping details every time you shop. Setting up an account takes 5 seconds––promise, you won't regret it!

Do you have a physical store?

No, we don't. We do have a warehouse in Pasig City, Metro Manila where readers and interested buyers can usually visit but, for now, we will not allow visits for COVID-19 safety precautions.

May I order here but pick it up at your warehouse?

Yes! We have a local pick-up option on our website. Read the Shipping section of this FAQ to learn more.



What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments via credit card, debit card, PayPal, GCashBDO bank deposit/funds transfer, and Cash on Delivery (COD).


You may use either PayMongo or PayPal as payment gateways for your credit card payment. For PayPal, you don't need a PayPal account to be able to pay via credit card. You can also purchase products from the product page and click the Pay with PayPal button. We also have a PayPal link where you can pay using your PayPal Account: https://dearbooks.ph/paypal.

For your debit card payment, it will only be available via the PayMongo payment gateway.


The account details and payment instructions are provided on your sales invoice that is sent via email. Reply to that email with a photo/scan/screenshot of your deposit slip/funds transfer once payment has been made. Make sure the confirmation number can be seen.

We will only reserve your item for you for two (2) working days. If you are not able to pay and email us the confirmation by then, your order is automatically canceled.

We accept bank deposits or funds transfers via UnionBank. Here are the account details:

Upon picking this option, you will be led to our payment gateway partner's page (PayMongo) in order for you to input your GCash account number. They will automatically deduct the payment from your GCash wallet and your order will be good to go!


Do you have Cash on Delivery (COD)? 

Yes! All our stores—here and on Shopee—do! You may shop using Cash on Delivery (COD) here or via our marketplace platforms:




Our shipping costs are at a fixed rate of Php 100 for Metro Manila orders and Php 200 for provincial orders. But for now, we offer free shipping nationwide for orders above Php 2,000!

For orders within Metro Manila, please expect your packages within 2 to 4 working days upon order and payment confirmation. For orders outside of Metro Manila, allow 5 to 12 working days upon order and payment confirmation.

Express shipping: This same-day or next-day shipping option is available if your shipping address is in Metro Manila and you want your books delivered fast! It costs Php 250 and the cut-off for orders and payments for same-day shipping is at 11:00 AM, working days only. If you ordered and paid past 11:00 AM with this shipping method, we promise that you will get your order on the next working day. (This does not apply to weekends and non-working holidays.)

Local delivery: This option is available if your shipping address is within a 1.5-km radius of our warehouse & HQ (Dear Books, Ground Floor, 76A Bernal Street, Rosario, Pasig City, 1609 Metro Manila). This means we can deliver to you for free and on foot!

Local pickup: This option is for when you want to personally be the one to pick up or book the on-demand courier for your order! The pickup location is at our warehouse & HQ (Dear Books, Ground Floor, 76A Bernal Street, Barangay Rosario, Pasig City, 1609 Metro Manila), and can be availed from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM only. Your order will usually be ready in 1 to 2 working days and you will be notified via email when your order is ready to be picked up! Kindly practice proper social distancing and be ready with your order number when you visit. 



Our team is happy and excited to accommodate all your orders and inquiries. Our virtual office hours is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, while our warehouse hours for order processing and local pickups is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM.

All products here on Dear Books are 100% authentic and brand new, unless stated otherwise. Our books and related products come from official publishing partners both locally and internationally.



We are working our way to using more sustainable packaging. We vow to look for alternatives that are not harmful to the Earth but can still protect your books and orders when they travel from our warehouse to your address!

For now, we use standard courier pouches, bubble wrap, and kraft paper to keep your books and orders safe.



IMPORTANT: We only accept returns and/or exchanges within 30 days of shipment, and only if the product is unused, undamaged, and comes in its original packaging. 

HOW TO RETURN/EXCHANGE YOUR ITEM: Send us a message on our Contact Page regarding your concern, and we will send you the instructions. Please note that additional shipping fees (back to us, and then back over to you) will be handled by the customer.

As long as the product is in its original condition, we will give a full refund in the form of store credits.

If you are exchanging for a higher priced item, you will need to pay the price difference. If you are exchanging for a lower priced item, we will refund the price difference in the form of store credits.



We will only be sending you our messages and newsletters if you want to and if you sign up for them! No spam, no selling of your information to others, and no stalking. That’s a promise.
